To obtain the coated surface and the best printability of paper on the so-called paper - basis for coating a layer of a certain thickness of coater composition is applied and evenly distributed. Due to this treatment, the paper surface is ennobled. (see Glossary)
Paper base is made from clean, well-milled cellulose. After application to the base paper coating suspension, drying and glazing (calendering) coated paper of high whiteness and smoothness is received. Coating can have a single layer (one dose) and multiple (in divided doses).
Multi-coating not only improves the smoothness and whiteness, but also improves its perception of colors. By pre-calendering paper becomes smooth. This property gives the paper a high resolution and reduces the absorption of paint that allows you to print images with a high line screen (fineness), which is important in the manufacture of multi-color products.
