2 to 4 years for a plastic bag! April 17, 2018, 12:20 pm

To date, the modern person consumes at times more than his ancestors. Every year consumption volumes are increasing, and together with them, the amount of waste is growing. At present, the problem of pollution is not just a problem, it is already an ecological catastrophe of a global nature that needs to be addressed urgently. Some countries have already taken certain steps after realizing the full danger of domestic waste pollution, but in most, unfortunately, the situation does not change.

Two years in Sri Lanka, three in India, four in Kenya. This is a prison term for the use of polyethylene bags. So developing countries are being saved from an ecological catastrophe.

Germany: the recycle of packages is paid by consumers, and sales and distribution are responsible for collecting and recycling them.

Ireland: after increasing the price of packages, the number of used packages decreased by 94%. Now there are used "reusable" bags of fabric.

USA: In San Francisco, large supermarkets and network pharmacies do not use polyethylene bags. Hawaii became the first state to refuse to use polyethylene bags.

Tanzania: fine for the production, import or sale of plastic bags - 2000 dollars or a year of imprisonment. Import of plastic bags to Zanzibar is prohibited.

England: In the autumn of 2004, the world's first biodegradable bread packages were launched in the UK. The new material from which packages are made, for four years completely decomposes on carbon dioxide and water.

Residents of
Great Britain have agreed to use, if possible, food packages from raw materials to be recycled. So, two years ago, a businessman from Devon County, Rebecca Hocking, persuaded the owners of 43 stores to switch to reusable cloth bags for their customers. At the end of last year, Prime Minister George Gordon Brown called on all British stores to replace the harmful plastic bags on paper. The Marks and Spencer store chain stopped offering free delivery. The company pays money for the sale of new parks and gardens. A popular social advertisement is also popular: shoppers at the entrance to the store meet a poster: "Come to us with your package or bag! Take care of the environment. " Six out of ten English consumers believe that products need to be packaged only in biodegradable packaging.

China: Since June 1, 2008, it is prohibited to produce, sell and use plastic bags with a film thickness of less than 0.025 mm.

Italy: Since January 1, 2011, the use of polyethylene bags is prohibited in the country. Now for the purchased item, buyers should have reusable bags or biopackages.

Singapore, Bangladesh, Taiwan: a full ban on the use of polyethylene bags since 2003 has been introduced because of numerous occlusions of sewerage closures and overflows of riverbeds leading to floods.

Almost every piece of plastic ever made, still exists. Sometimes it seems that there is not enough from one person that depends ... But while relying on reusable bags from natural materials or paper bags, you will make a significant contribution to the environment and reduce the "polyethylene plague."

The ecology of life is in our hands. Nature for us will say thank you!
